United Rogue Privacy Notice

Last Updated: October 5th 2026

United Rogue collects only what it needs to run leagues and community spaces, never sells your data, and lets you see, fix, or delete it on request.

Who we are

United Rogue LLC ("UR," "we," "us") is a competitive esports organization based in Arizona, USA. We run leagues and tournaments, community servers, content channels, and merch and membership programs. This notice covers unitedrogue.gg, our league registration, our Discord server, our stats and leaderboard site, our store, and our broadcasts.

For players in the EU, EEA, and UK, United Rogue is the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect

  • Account and contact: gamertag, Discord username and ID, email, and region or country, which you give us at signup.

  • Game and platform IDs: Epic, Steam, Battle.net, Activision, or console IDs, and your in-game rank, which you give us at signup.

  • Age confirmation: your confirmation that you are 16 or older, with a timestamp.

  • Competition data: team, franchise, roster history, match results, stats, rulings, and penalties, from league staff and match reports.

  • Community activity: messages and activity in UR spaces, support tickets, and moderation records, from Discord and our bots.

  • Media: your gamertag, voice, video, or likeness in our streams, VODs, and highlights.

  • Purchases and memberships: name, shipping address, and order and subscription history, from our store and membership provider. We never see full card numbers.

  • Website and technical: IP address, browser, device, and pages viewed, from cookies and analytics on our sites.

We do not ask for government IDs, full birthdates, or sensitive data such as health, religion, or political views.

How we use it

The GDPR requires a legal basis for each use. Ours are:

  • Running the league (registration, scheduling, rosters, drafts, results): contract, because it's needed to provide the league you signed up for.

  • Publishing stats, standings, and leaderboards: legitimate interest in transparent, competitive play.

  • Broadcasting and sharing match footage: legitimate interest. Matches may be streamed and recorded showing your gamertag and gameplay. Cameras are optional, and you can ask not to be featured in highlights. We'll ask your permission before using you in sponsor or promotional content.

  • Enforcing rules, moderating, and preventing cheating and abuse: legitimate interest and safety.

  • Processing orders and memberships: contract.

  • Sending league updates you need: contract.

  • Newsletters, promotions, and sponsor offers: consent only, through a separate opt-in you can withdraw anytime.

  • Website analytics and improving our services: consent where cookie rules require it, otherwise legitimate interest.

  • Tax, accounting, and legal requirements: legal obligation.

We do not use your data for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

What's public

Competitive play is public by nature. Anyone can see these:

  • Your gamertag, team, franchise, and roster history

  • Match results, stats, standings, and leaderboard rankings

  • Broadcasts, VODs, and highlights you appear in

  • Public rulings and suspensions

We never publish your email, real name, address, or platform account details. If you want your historical stats anonymized after you leave UR, contact us. We will replace your gamertag with a placeholder where doing so won't break other players' records.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We also do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share data only with:

  • Discord: community server, league communication, and bots.

  • Google: hosting our stats and leaderboard database.

  • Squarespace: our website and signup forms.

  • Fourthwall and Printful: store orders, memberships, and shipping.

  • Streaming platforms such as YouTube and Twitch: broadcasts and VODs.

  • Game publishers and tournament platforms: where their rules require it, such as officially licensed events.

  • League staff and volunteers: only what they need for their role, under confidentiality.

  • Authorities or advisors: when required by law, or to protect safety or our legal rights.

Our service providers may only use your data to provide services to us. If UR is ever merged or sold, player data may transfer to the new owner under this notice.

Sponsors never receive your contact details unless you opt in.

Age requirements

You must be 16 or older to register for UR leagues. At signup you confirm your age, and we keep a timestamped record of that confirmation.

We do not knowingly collect data from or register anyone under 16. If we learn a registered player is under 16, we will remove them from the league and delete their registration data.

Parents who believe their child signed up can contact us at the address above to have the data removed.

How long we keep it

  • Registration and contact details: as long as you're a member of the UR community (our Discord). When you leave, we delete them, except as noted below.

  • Match results, stats, and standings: indefinitely, as league history. Anonymization is available on request.

  • Moderation and penalty records: for as long as any related ban or restriction is in effect, and up to 5 years after the last incident otherwise, so we can spot repeat offenders.

  • Orders, payments, and memberships: processed by Fourthwall as merchant of record and kept under Fourthwall's privacy policy. UR doesn't keep separate copies.

  • Marketing list: until you unsubscribe.

  • Broadcasts and VODs: as long as they stay published.

  • Website analytics: for the period set by our website provider, Squarespace.

When a period ends, we delete or anonymize the data.

International transfers

UR is based in the United States, so data from EU, EEA, and UK players is processed in the US. We rely on two safeguards for these transfers:

  • Providers certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK Extension)

  • The European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, plus the UK Addendum where needed

You can ask us for details of the safeguard covering a specific provider.

Your rights

Email utdrogue@gmail.com from the address or Discord account tied to your registration, and we'll respond within 30 days. Requests are free. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

Everyone can ask us to:

  • See the data we hold about you, and get a copy

  • Correct anything wrong

  • Delete your data, except records we must keep by law or as public league history (which we can anonymize)

  • Unsubscribe from marketing at any time

EU, EEA, and UK players also have the right to:

  • Restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interest

  • Receive your data in a portable format

  • Withdraw consent anytime, without affecting earlier processing

  • Complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO)

US residents of states with privacy laws, such as California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, and Texas, also have these rights:

  • Know what categories of data we collect, use, and disclose

  • Opt out of sale, targeted advertising, and profiling (we do none of these)

  • Appeal if we deny a request, by replying to our decision

  • Not be treated differently for exercising your rights

An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with your written permission.

Cookies

Our sites use essential cookies to work, plus optional analytics cookies. Visitors from the EU, EEA, and UK are asked before any optional cookies load, and you can change your choice anytime by clearing your browser's cookies for our site, which brings the banner back.

Security and breaches

We limit access to player data to the staff who need it. We also use access controls and two-factor authentication on admin accounts, and we rely on providers with strong security practices. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach puts your data at risk, we will notify the relevant authorities, including an EU regulator within 72 hours where required, and tell affected players promptly.

Changes to this notice

We will post updates here with a new date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will announce it in Discord or by email before it takes effect.
